Ex Gov Ayo Fayose’s Attempts To Retun To Office Faces Stiff Resistance

Former Governor of Ekiti state, Mr Ayo Fayose’s attempt to return to office is currently suffering a major resistance.
Sources claim a growing force within is party, People’s Democratic Party doesn’t want in power. And have created a big hurdle for him.
‘They want the a consensus party to be chosen’ a source disclosed.
Insiders explained the move will enable the anti- Fayose elements to successful zone him out of contention on the basis of party directive.
Information revealed the major reason against Fayose’s come back bid ‘unreliability’ and allegations of ‘easily intoxicated with power’.
The allegations are tied to actions and conducts attributed to him in the course of his cut short regime.
Informants however claimed Mr Fayose has vowed to resist moves to scuttle his ambition.
The former governor has declared intention to resist any form of emergence of a consensus as his party’s flag bearer.
Fayose specifically declared that ‘“I don’t want to be a consensus candidate.
‘Everybody must be given the right to exercise as a member of the party.
“I have obtained my form, I returned it, I was screened and the last leg is primary.
“
If an aspirant has paid N11 million for primary, he should have courage to face the electorate to elect him as candidate.
“I reject consensus in totality.’
Sources claim Fayose’s declaration comes on the heels of knowledge that he is not up for consideration as a consensus candidate. And wants to starve moves to shoot down his return bid by pre empting the plot with his public disclosure.
