Dimgba Igwe Buried, As Hit & Run Killer Driver Remains At Large

The remains of master journalist, Dimgba Uguruigwe has been laid to rest.

The seasoned administrator was committed to mother earth on Saturday October 11 2014.

This development comes while the culprit in his death remains unknown- and at large.

The late father of four was knocked down by a hit and run driver in his neigbourhood, Okota Lagos on Saturday September 6.

He dead as a result of injuries sustained in the incident after 3 hospitals claimed ‘inability to handle the situation’.

He was out for routine morning exercise when he was hit.

The police during it’s most recent briefing admitted to lack of progress in apprehending culprit in Igwe’s death due to ‘limited information’.

Lagos state police commissioner reportedly stated during the disclosure ‘If there were close circuit camera’s on the road, the person person who committed the heinous crime would have been arrested. Please, individuals should begin to install CCTV cameras to enable us solve this kind of challenge we are facing from Dimgba’s death’

With the police still at a loss on the way forward, the deceased’s burial arrangement kicked off on Saturday October 4 2014 with a service of at the Evangel Pentecostal Church, Okota- Lagos.

A replicate Service of Songs was also held at his home town residence, Okafia, Igbere, Bende LG for Abia state on Friday October 10 2014.

And on Saturday, October 11 2014, a funeral service was held at Okafia Igbere primary school, followed by his internment.

Former governor of Abia state, Uzor Orji Kalu and bossom friend and business partner, Mike Awoyinfa led the chunk of attendance that heralded the final ceremony.
