Residents of Ode-Remo and Fuji music lovers across Ogun State are already looking forward to another exciting edition of the annual Lafose Day Celebration as renowned Fuji music star, King Sulaiman Alao Adekunle Malaika, is set to headline the 41st edition of the cultural festival.

According to details released by the organisers, TMT Ojere (Omo Iya-Seyi) Productions, the event will hold on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the Ode-Remo Town Hall, Market Square, Ode-Remo, Ogun State.

Attendance is free, giving residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy an evening of music, culture and community celebration without any gate fee.

Malaika, one of Nigeria’s most celebrated Fuji musicians, is expected to thrill guests with a rich repertoire of his popular songs and electrifying stage performance.

The Fuji superstar has become a familiar face at the annual Lafose Festival and is regarded as one of the event’s regular star attractions, a factor that has helped sustain public interest in the celebration over the years.

The annual festival has grown into one of the most anticipated cultural gatherings in Ode-Remo, drawing indigenes, visitors and lovers of Yoruba cultural heritage from different parts of the country.

Organisers say this year’s edition promises another memorable experience as preparations have been intensified to ensure a successful outing.

The event is scheduled to commence at 10 p.m., while organisers have assured attendees of adequate security throughout the celebration.

As part of efforts to add colour to the festival, free Ankara materials will also be distributed to members of the Alayeluwa Fans Club in Ode-Remo.

With Malaika billed to take centre stage once again, expectations are high that the 41st Lafose Day Celebration will deliver another night of entertainment, culture and communal bonding in the historic Ogun State town.
