There are interesting reactions to the announcement by Governor Dapo Abiodun that the weekend lockdown in Ogun State in the fight against Covid-19 continues.

The Governor insists on total lockdown on weekends in Ogun State despite the glaring collapse of enforcement of keeping safe measures from Monday to Friday and access to the main roads by those who ‘’speak the language’’ of checkpoint monitors on Saturdays and Sundays.

‘’The weekend lockdown is a joke with commercial buses and okadas (commercial motorcycles) operating in the same places where private car owners or bike riders are arrested at the whims of road monitors who let transporters and traders to operate’’ Societynow.ng learned.
