Ogun Political leaders, Ex Governor Segun Osoba and his out of office successor, Gbenga Daniel are in renew talks of trading supports.
And sources confirmed this is outside party affiliation.
Both Akinrogun Osoba and Otunba Daniel belong to different political parties with under the table arrangements to work together for common gain in specified areas.
Osoba is the chief promoter of Social Democratic Party in Ogun state – while Daniel is one of the major influences of People’s Democratic Party.
Two of the major objectives of the behind the scene collaboration of their political organisations is to oust incumbent governor, Ibikunle Amosun and return President Goodluck Jonathan to office- in exchange for partial funding.
Osoba defected from the All Progressives Congress over a protracted battle with Amosun …Daniel has suffered endless vilification based on countless charges and accusations from his successor (Amosun).
Insiders however confirmed the subject of fresh support talks between the two is how to cage the influence of individual declared wanted by United States of America for drug charges but seeking to become Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Kashamu Buruji.
The People’s Democratic Party chieftain had won his party’s ticket to represent Ogun East Senatorial district after fellow aspirant, Gbenga Daniel stepped down.
Buruji’s phenomenal influence is the only limiting factor to Daniel’s complete take over of the PDP machinery in the state.
A loss by the man battling to free himself from entanglement of drug charges in his Senatorial bid would go along way in removing this obstacle.
Buruji, with his PDP ticket would be going directly against Osoba’s long term ally and point man, Senator Gbenga Kaka

‘They are currently exploring means to achieve common interest, outside party affiliation’ another source disclosed.

According to an insider ‘ Abiodun and his backers have started looking for ways to turn the whole set up to his advantage…am not sure how he intends to achieve that presently, but he has started seeking ways to turn all the other players and their supporters against one another’.
Part of the reasons Aremo Osoba defected from the APC was Governor Amosun’s ploy to render him powerless by ensuring all his (Osoba’s) loyalists do not return to their elective posts.
