Unifier: Why Dayo “Bush” Alebiosu Has A New Nickname
And it stems from a major sacrifice.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure, Dayo “Bush” Alebiosu, has earned a new appellation — “The Unifier.”
And it stems from a major sacrifice.
The former federal legislator reportedly gave up his ambition to return to the National Assembly in 2027 as part of efforts to unify the different factions of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his political base, Kosofe and its environs.
According to those in the know, the popular grassroots politician has been at the forefront of moves to ensure that the ruling APC goes into the 2027 elections with a united front within his sphere of influence.

Insiders disclosed that he has played a leading role in mending ties, resolving disputes, and campaigning for unity within the party across Kosofe as part of the build-up to achieving this objective.

“Many thought he was doing all these to prepare the ground for a return to the National Assembly, but when he gave up the ambition as part of efforts to unify the party, it further established his seriousness of purpose and sparked praise for him as ‘The Unifier,’” a source said.

Appointed into Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration in 2023 to lead the Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Alebiosu has since embarked on a whirlwind of activities that have helped propel Lagos State into a high-octane infrastructure overhaul.
