There is a raging conversation in the political circles of Osun State.

And it is all about influential federal lawmaker Oluwole Busayo Oke.

The popular legislator, simply known as Wole Oke, is in his fifth term at the Green Chamber on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

But there are unceasing claims that one of the stars of the PDP—who has been in the Federal House of Representatives since 2003, missing out only during the 2011 to 2015 political dispensation—is considering a defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Sources say the claims have become so frequent that party members are openly confronting the federal lawmaker on his social media pages, especially under posts seen as indicating his likely move to the APC.

There are unverified claims that Oke’s alleged unease in the PDP has roots in a conflict with Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Adeleke, who was elected on the platform of the PDP, is the leader of the party in the state.

The APC, with which Oke is being linked, is in charge of the Federal Government.
