A fifth-term member of the House of Representatives representing Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in Osun State, Wole Oke, has offered a glowing tribute to Alhaji Isiaq Gboyega Oyetola, former Governor of Osun State and current Minister for the Blue Marine Economy.

In a heartfelt social media post that has since sparked conversations across political circles, Oke explained why President Bola Ahmed Tinubu continues to place unwavering trust in Oyetola’s judgment.

Oke, who recently defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), described Oyetola as a “rare blend of integrity, intellect, and discipline,” and a “quiet force in Nigerian leadership whose results speak louder than words.”

According to the veteran lawmaker, his years in the political arena have taught him to observe people beyond their public personas, and it took time for him to fully understand the depth of Oyetola’s leadership.

“Now I understand why His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, places such immense trust in his judgment and holds him in high esteem,” Oke wrote.

He hailed Oyetola’s technocratic competence, rooted in his actuarial science background, and emphasized the minister’s disciplined approach to governance. “Alhaji Oyetola is a master in the prudent management of the 3Ms: Men, Money, and Materials,” Oke noted. “His leadership is never loud, but always impactful. He is not to be compared with the rabble-rousers of our political space, for his quiet strength achieves what noise cannot.”

Describing Oyetola as “a devout Muslim whose life is guided by the fear of Allah,” Oke underscored the minister’s personal values of humility, sincerity, and calm resolve — attributes that make him, in Oke’s words, “the kind of public servant Nigeria needs.”

Oke’s public affirmation is widely seen as a signal of both respect and political alignment as he officially joins the APC, the platform under which Oyetola rose to power in Osun and later to national prominence. Analysts suggest the tribute is as much a personal endorsement as it is a recalibration of alliances ahead of the next political cycle in Osun and beyond.

Concluding his post, Oke pledged his “unwavering loyalty and support” to Oyetola, adding, “Your type is rare and your legacy, enduring.”

The message has resonated with many, highlighting not just Oyetola’s quiet but effective leadership, but also the growing influence he continues to command within the ruling party — a trust clearly validated by the president himself.
