The talks are that influential politician Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has a big say in the politics of Ogun State.
Tinubu’s influence is said to be so enormous that some believe that, it goes without saying that the national leader of the ruling party will have great input in the politics of Ogun State.
Tinubu’s strength is said to have roots in the influence of the political structure of his protege Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola.
The Senator representing Lagos West owns the formidable Yayi Political movement, a major player in the alliances that brought Governor Abiodun to power.
The Yayi Movement which was aggressively built over ten years was meant to help Senator Adeola actualize his gubernatorial ambition in Ogun state before opted out of the race for a return to the Senate as representative of the people of Lagos West.
The move was part of a negotiation to support incumbent governor Dapo Abiodun.
Insiders claim that it is in recognition of the huge contribution of the Yayi Movement that loyalists of the Senator Adeola have higher numbers of appointees than others in the new government.
Tinubu is the piper that dictates the tunes of Senator Adeola who directly oversees the Yayi movement.
Insiders disclosed that the power Tinubu has over Senator Adeola is outside of the influence he has with vice president Yemi Osinbajo – the highest-ranking elected official in Ogun state.
Societynow.ng learned that these influences aligned with the clout Tinubu has with former governor Olusegun Osoba and other off the public glare political and economic players in Ogun state make people say he has a big say in happenings in Ogun state.

The pressure is said to be mounting, especially with the feat that was achieved with Dapo Abiodun’s emergence as the new governor of Ogun state.
