There is an emerging tale.

And it has ex Governor Gbenga Daniel and former Borno state helmsman, Ali Modu Sheriff at the centre of it.

The duo is said to be quietly working to achieve a common goal.

Sheriff, who fiercely fought Ahmed Markarfi to retain control of the People’s Democratic Party as Caretaker Committee Chairman is said to be silently supporting the emergence of Gbenga Daniel as the National Chairman of the party.

This is said to be despite the fact that Makarfi – and his crew – who outwitted Sheriff and his band of supporters in court is conducting the election.

Sheriff and Daniel are said to enjoy “good relationship”.

And the former Borno Governor’s backing of the ex Ogun frontman is said to be “strategically aimed at positioning self for the future”.

To his credit, Daniel has maintained a disposition of “all hands must be on deck to return the party to the era of a formidable force in and out of government and very willing to work with all and sundry”.

Their recent public show of “camaraderie” at the Bukola Saraki’s daughter wedding has added fuel to the emerging tale.

The duo were guests at the wedding of Oluwatosin, the 25-year-old daughter of Senate President Bukola Saraki to Adeniyi, the son of Omooba Adebola Olukoya staged at Eko Hotel on Saturday, October 28, 2017.

Daniel and Sheriff were pictured together all smiles and spotted pleasantly chatting according to sources.
