The emerging claims suggest that a powerful figure in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from one of the other two regions in Ogun State is working behind the scenes to replace Salisu in the Senate, using Odeda as the point of origin.
Ogun State is divided into Ogun East, Ogun Central, and Ogun West.
It’s claimed that this political figure from another senatorial district has enough influence to pressure the incumbent Senator to step aside but lacks the clout to attempt the same in the current district.
The trending reports say that the person is already laying the groundwork for this move, with claims of maternal roots in Odeda surfacing sporadically.
However, there are also whispers of a plot to derail this plan.
“Already, some other people are putting forth plans to ensure that this plot does not materialize, regardless of the stature of the person involved,” observers note.
