Why The Son Of Tambuwal’s Aide Has Been Thrown Into Prison Custody

The son of one of the aides of the Governor of Sokoto state Aminu Tambuwal has been thrown into prison custody.

The individual is identified as Aminu Hayatu Tafida better known as Jaffa.

Jaffa was ordered to be remanded into prison custody by a Magistrate court over allegation of raping a minor.

The order was given on Monday, October 9, 2020.

He was ordered to be remanded in the Sokoto Correctional Centre to allow police conclude investigation into the allegation against him as well as secure legal counsel from the Ministry of Justice.

Other person charged with involvement in the circulation of the rape video – Umar Abubakar, Masa’ud Abubakar Gidado and Aliyu Shehu Kangi,- were , however, granted bail by the court.

The case has been shifted till October 19.
