“He was better suited pre-the emergence of Sanwo-Olu as Governor in 2019 and remains well suited to takeover whether the incumbent serves a term or two, but he faces the same challenges that forced him to take up the present position of Deputy Governor” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

Hamzat is seen as too pro the political caucus that slightly leans away from that of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the shots caller in the politics of Lagos state, and too qualified politically for the comfort of those in charge of the Government of the State.

“His strong points are his “curses”. He is from a strong political family, with major political connections, and has a very strong understanding of how to get things done. Be in charge. People who control things don’t want to put political power in the hands of such a person. They prefer to give him bit parts and not the major role ” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

Further revelation has it that Hamzat who had his primary school education at Odu-Abore Memorial Primary School, Mushin, Lagos, and secondary school education at Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo state who is aware of this challenge has tried to use his role as Deputy to Sanwo-Olu to show he is also strong on “compliance” and is also a team player by ensuring he does not rival the Governor in any form since they were sworn in 2019.

Hamzat is decorated with strong talks of another gubernatorial ambition as the claims Sanwo-Olu may not serve beyond 2023 as the Governor of Lagos state become stronger.
