Why Lagos Celebrities Are Now Scared Of Showing Excessive Flamboyance

It is no longer fashionable among celebrities, particularly in Lagos state to inflate the value of a property or related material acquisitions in an attempt to soar public rating.

Or exhibit excessive flamboyance in any form.

Sources confirmed this development is as a result of the new strategy adopted by tax men.

Tax evaluators now monitor reports of big money acquisitions by celebrities and use it to estimate their earnings and tax due.

Sources claim that quite a number of celebrities have fallen foul of this new ploy by tax men and others have quickly dumped the habit of inflating purchase prices of material acquisitions to avoid becoming victims of their own lies.

As a show of seriousness in getting popular faces to comply with the tax law, the Lagos State Income Revenue service dragged Actress Monalisa Chinda-Coker to court.

The popular face was charged with failure to file annual tax returns and failure to pay income tax in respect of her company, Monalisa Code Productions.
