Why IBEDC Customers Are Unable To Pay For Elecricity – Metered Houses In Darkness- For Over 2Weeks

Customers of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), especially those using prepaid Meters are in agony.
Societynow.ng confirmed that for the past two weeks there has been a major issue with the payment system of the electricity distribution.

Multiple sources claim hard it is Ogun state, particular Sango-Ota axis.
” All we hear is that there is network problems and we can’t pay or buy tokens for our meters” a source disclosed.
Without the tokens to be injured into the meter – once existing one is exhausted – the houses concerned are denied electricity services.

” We see light (sic)but don’t get to use it because we can’t buy tokens due to the bad network of IBEDC” a source lamented.
Societynow.ng’s checks revealed that this development as been on for over two weeks and there appears to be no end in sight.

The further checks made by societynow.ng revealed that staff at corner shop agents and branches of IBEDC are filled with metered customers who desperately want purchase tokens.

“Even those who have to contend with the challenge of outrageous estimated billings are not left out, because they need to show proof of payment of bills to avoid disconnection” societynow.ng confirmed.
