Spender Demola Eletu Odibo is still battling to become king months after friends have celebrated the announcement he was picked by kingmakers.
This is two years after news hit the town that one of the leading lights of the popular Eletu Odibo has been picked to become the king of Itele in Sango, Ota, Ogun state, and his friends gone on celebrations far and wide in great anticipation.
Societynow.ng gathered that the kingship ambition of Demola who is being hampered by litigations from others interested in the throne
Those who should know claim that the perception that his family is better known as famous landowners in Lagos state is being used against the socialite behind Deuce Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited.
But Demola the older brother of Kazeem Eletu Odibo is fighting this perception very hard.
Societynow.ng gathered that the efforts of the member of the far-reaching Awori clan have yielded efforts with some of the Baales (sectional heads) stoutly supporting him.
“Those in his corner have gone as far as staging a protest at the Governor’s office last year to demand government’s recognition of Demola as the Onitele of Itele (king of Itele). That he was duly picked by kingmakers and he is a bonafide son of Iliwo in Itele” societynow.ng learned.
The protesters to the office of Governor Dapo Abiodun were led by Baale Oluyemi Onifade.
“But they were told that the state government cannot do anything about the case until all court cases are resolved” Societynow.ng learned.
The information available revealed that the situation has remained the same since then.
