It appears former Governor Rauf Aregbesola has suddenly gone all quiet and gentle after the mass sanction handed out to his strong men in the Osun state chapter of the All Progressives Congress.

A handful of the strategists and support mobilizers of the former Governor of Osun state were expelled and suspended based on”allegations of misconduct bordering on factionalization of the party and creating parallel party organ.” and “allegations of misconduct and actions that embarrassed and brought the party to disrepute”.

The expulsion and suspension that deepened the supremacy struggle rocking the APC in Osun state came on the heels of the launch of Omoluabi Tendency by Aregbesola, the caucus described as “the genuine foundation members of the party” and insisted that”we (members) will still be standing when all the fair-weathers have gone.”

Those who should know disclosed that the sanctions meted out to his hardcore loyalists have not taken the fight out of Aregbesola.

“He is restrategizing. Aregbesola ordinarily is not given to public display except when very necessary. He has reverted to himself and carefully planning his next move” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

The talks in the political circle of Osun state revealed that Aregbesola adopted this stance in the face of the two-edged message in the sack of his strong men.

“The expulsion and suspension of his influential supporters is a direct message to all those associating with him within the party and also a warning to Aregbesola telling him how far his political opponents are willing to go, to cage him” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

Aregbesola is up in arms against powerful players in the APC led by Minister Gboyega Oyetola, National Publicity Secretary Ajibola Basiru, and former Deputy Governor Iyiola Omisore.

The trio are major promoters of the interest of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu while Aregbesola is an ex-Tinubu confidant.
