President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has celebrated his son, Seyi Tinubu, on his 40th birthday, describing him as a man of focus, courage, humility, and compassion whose journey reflects discipline, service, and purpose.
In a heartfelt open letter, Tinubu expressed gratitude to God for Seyi’s life, saying he has “walked his path with focus, courage, and humility,” adding that he has done so “with a heart that seeks to build, serve, and uplift others.”
The president reflected on his son’s early years, noting that Seyi’s determination and creativity were evident from a young age. “From an early age, you have shown determination and a desire to create and lead,” Tinubu said. “I have watched you turn ideas into institutions and challenges into opportunities.”
He praised Seyi’s entrepreneurial drive through his business, Loatsad, and other ventures, saying they stand as proof of his commitment to building rather than merely achieving. “In business through Loatsad and your various endeavors, and in service, you have shown that true success is not only measured by wealth or power but by the impact we make and the lives we touch,” the president stated.
Describing the milestone age as one of balance and wisdom, Tinubu remarked that “forty is a special age. It bridges youthful drive and the more profound wisdom that life brings.” He added, “You have carried your name with honour and have remained faithful to the values of discipline, integrity, and hard work.”
The president also lauded Seyi’s humanitarian efforts through the Noella Foundation, highlighting his work in education, youth empowerment, social development, and maternal and child welfare. “Through your work with the Noella Foundation, you have brought hope to families across Nigeria, created opportunities for many young people, and extended compassion to those in need,” Tinubu said. “Your commitment to philanthropy reflects the values I hold dear.”
He spoke warmly of Seyi’s family life, saying, “Our entire family is proud of you. We are proud of the family you are building with Layal, your devotion as a husband and father, and your commitment to making a difference in your generation.”
Tinubu urged his son to continue to lead with inspiration and purpose. “As you celebrate this milestone, remember that your strength lies in what you achieve and how you inspire others to believe,” he said.
The president concluded the message with a fatherly blessing and affirmation of faith in his son’s future. “May God bless you with wisdom, good health, and peace,” he prayed. “Happy 40th Birthday, my son. You have made us proud, and I know you will continue to make Nigeria proud.”
