The picture of that Victoria Island, Lagos top shot that takes special pain to avoid the lens of photographers at events is now available for free- but with a twist.
It is a mug shot! That is the case of Ahmed Uwhubetine that popular operator that rose to fame with the exploits at the defunct 11.45 night club.
He was reportedly arrested in Georgia, USA on Saturday July 16 2011.
His crime was theft and shoplifting according to the charge sheet.
Information made available to www.societynown.com indicates that the arrest was effected by Fulton County Sherrif’s office.
However in a manner yet to be established the popular character made a get away from the country of his crime and found his way home.
Sources alleged that he jumped bail.
He has however maintained a low profile since he resurfaced back home.
But in a bid to attract undue attention- he is said to keep to his normal routine and social course.
Uhwhubetine, was face of shut down night club, 11.45. He was also part owner of troubled and under lock fun place, Insomnia. Until recently he was a stakeholder in Trybecca later renamed Chrome, when new investor Ladi Akindele joined the fray. Ahmed was booted out of Trybecca for allegedly siphoning company money.
He had lived down the allegations with his top shot image- and appeared to have done away with the scar of a ‘cheat and thief’ until this latest development.
