A very rare view has been provided into the childhood of Africa’s economic giant Otunba Michael Adeniyi Ishola Adenuga.

The 69year old – born April 29, 1953 – lived all his growing up years in Ibadan Oyo state.

SocietyNow.Ng’s gathered that the Forbes rated billionaire was born at the “old Adeoyo hospital”.

Further digs revealed that the chairman of Globacom spent the early part of his childhood at Oke-Ado behind the old Oni and Sons outfit.

The children of Oni and Sons outfit owners were his playmates according to the information at hand.

Added information has it that going to “watch films” was a major hobby of the young Adenuga at the time.

“The Bull”

The major employer of labor fondly referred to as “The Bull” or “The Guru” reportedly invested a lot of energy and time in relishing this pleasure by walking from Oke-Ado to Sabo (about 8.9 kilometers and an estimated 1hour, 52minutes on foot and 32 minutes driving ) with his peers to film houses.

The wealthy Nigerian who has refused to officially claim his status in the community of global billionaires – his businesses and key income earners that ought to serve as enablers are not publicly listed – admitted in an interview on Thisday “Childhood was not bad at all. Widely touted as the “unofficial richest man in Africa”, Mike Adenuga’s father – Oloye Michael Agbolade Adenuga Sr – was a teacher for many years before he became an inspector of schools, and his mother – Omoba Juliana Oyindamola Adenuga (née Onashile ) – an established businesswoman with long reach started as a seamstress.

More digs by SocietyNow.Ng revealed that the “Chairman of Chairmen” (as fondly address by admirers) started his education at IICC practicing School School, Oke-Ado, Ibadan before he was transferred to Ebenezer African Church School also in Oke-Ado.

Ibadan Grammar School and Comprehensive High School Aiyetoro were other schools he attended before he traveled to the United States of America (U.S.A) where he sharpened his knowledge and thought processes at North Western State University, Alfa Pabna, and Pace University, New York.

SocietyNow.Ng gathered that though one of the most influential persons out of Africa started his childhood at Oke- Ado, Ibadan it didn’t end there.

“My parents later moved on to Challenge towards Orita (Ibadan). They built a bigger house there, so we moved over. Those days, there were no problems of armed robbery or drugs. Life was quite good without having too much” the noble Nigerian recognized home ( Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger by the government of Nigeria) and abroad ( Commander of the Legion of Honour by President Emmanuel Macron of France) revealed in the same interview.
