Yekini Nabena, a former scribe of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has hit out at governors Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo) Babajide Sanwolu (Lagos), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti).

Nabena’s tagged recent reports that the governors visited troubled governor Nyesom Wike to woo him over from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC as “very disrespectful” to the ” APC leaders from the Niger Delta”.

“Sanwo-Olu recently came to south-south with Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and Governor Kayode Fayemi, that can not deliver Osun state, to woo Governor Nyesom Wike without consulting the zonal leaders of the APC.” Nabena declared.

The former APC spokesperson made his position known while commenting on Saturday’s gubernatorial loss suffered by APC in Osu state on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

Governor Gboyega Oyetola who was seeking a second term in office lost to Demola Adeleke of the PDP.

Nabena warned that other governors on the platform of APC may suffer the same fate including Sanwo-Olu.

“The only way out for the APC as a party is to respect leaders in every state and zone, and not just think you can arrogantly arrange your boys to install leaders anywhere like they tried to do in Bayelsa, Kogi and Rivers states by some paper weight governors from the west who solely rely on Asiwaju to win election.” Nabena asserted.

The unending fight – supremacy tussle – with Minister Rauf Aregbesola is said to play a huge role in governor Oyetola’s loss in the osu gubernatorial election.
