Uzodinma Begs Citizens To Help Investigation Into Tragic Gunmen Ambush On Security Patrol
Over six officers were reportedly killed
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma has appealed to citizens to aid investigation into the tragic Ehime Mbano attack.
The attack was carried out by “gunmen” against security men on patrol along Aba branch Oriagu in Ehime Mbano attack on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.
The gunmen reportedly ambushed the security patrol of Joint Task Force Officers and set their vehicles ablaze.
Over six officers were reportedly killed in the tragic occurrence that took place in the morning.
Uzodinma who was at the scene “affirmed his commitment to ensuring justice for the victims” while begging citizens “to contribute to the ongoing investigations by providing valuable information.”
The Governor also “pledged government support for the families affected by the tragedy” according to information monitored by SocietyNow.Ng on his social media page.
Uzodinma who emphasized the need for peace and security in the State prayed strength for the families of the victims of Tuesday’s tragic attack in coping with their loss.
