Unveiling Of Those Gaining From Akeredolu’s Illness Begins In Ondo

According to emerging details, the unveiling of those profiting from the illness of the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu is ongoing.

“The people forging the Governor’s assent and their sponsors are the lot” is the theme of talks making the round in the political circle of Ondo state – with different names being thrown up.

The development comes on the heels of a petition to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and related agencies about how certain persons are ripping the state with forged approvals.

Akeredolu has been battling an undisclosed ailment for over 9 months.

The development has seen him travel abroad for treatment but returned to reside in another state – Oyo – as part of his recovery.

Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa was sidelined by power mongers who have hijacked the process – even when he was named acting governor while Akeredolu was undergoing treatment abroad.

The power mongers backed by persons allegedly leveraging closeness to the Governor went as far as working hard to remove the Deputy Governor from office – but for the judicial reprieve and intervention by President Tinubu who provided a political solution.
