Uduagan Reveals Proof He Is Still On Good Terms With Ibori Despite Defection To Rival Party

Ex-Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan has revealed prove he is still on very good terms with the powerful politician, James Ibori.

Uduaghan, the immediate past Governor of Delta state just defected to the All Progressives Congress while Ibori remains in the People’s Democratic Party.

PDP is control of Delta state while APC is in charge of the Federal Government.

Uduagan disclosed his mission in APC is to help the party take over power from the PDP in Delta state.

The former Delta Governor insists that despite this, he remains on good terms with Ibori – who is a cousin and leader of the PDP in Delta state.

Uduaghan disclosed on hardcopy, a political programme on Channels Television anchored by Maupe Ogun ‘’Before the PDP, there was the Ibori political family which we all belong, it stated with GDM. I was one of the recruiters for Ibori political family. So we are still on very good terms.”

Asked if his defection to the APC would not put him at odds with other members of the Ibori Political family, Uduaghan responded ‘’Everybody can’t like you. Even when I was in PDP I did not relate to everybody. As Governor I would give instructions and some people would not comply, though we were together in the PDP.”

Uduaghan who insisted, on the programme monitored by societynow.ng on Sunday, September 2 2018, that it is naturally to be liked or disliked by people one share bonds, was however silent on whether his defection would way for other members of the Ibori political family to cross over from the PDP to the APC.

The former Governor also refused to score the performance of his successor, Ifeanyi Okowa.

Uduaghan equally refused to speak on the fate of the free healthcare and delivery for pregnant which he tagged his most cherished legacy, under the administration of Okowa.

Uduaghan took over power from James Ibori, who was later sent to prison on corruption charges in the United Kingdom, as Governor of Delta state.
