Troubled Obaseki Puts Aside Re-Election Battle To Mourn With Pastor Ighodalo Over Death Of Angelic Wife, Ibidun

The death of angelic Ibidun, the wife of Pastor Ituah Ighodalo continues to attract widespread reactions of shock and testimony to her good characters.

Joining in mourning the passage of a good soul is embattled Governor of Edo State Godwin Obaseki.

Obaseki, who has been denied a re-election chance by his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and his struggling hard to overcome the odds against securing another platform to secure another term in office has put aside his troubles to mourn with widower Pastor Ighodalo of the Trinity House.

‘’Our dear Brother Itua, we stand with you at this very difficult time’’ Obaseki wrote in an open show of empathy with Pastor Ighodalo and continued

‘’Betsy and I received the news of the passing of your dear wife, our dear sister, Ibidunni Ighodalo with great shock. We are deeply saddened by this devastating loss.

As close friends, our grief is hard to describe in words.’’

The Governor went on to add his voice to the growing testimonies of a wonderful life that was Ibidun Itua Ighodalo – nee Ajayi

‘’Ibidunni was one of the finest among us; she was full of life and gave herself to causes that edified life and living. In her personal capacity and through the Ibidunni Ighodalo Foundation, she impacted society, helping to bring joy and happiness to peoples’ lives.

She was a solid pillar behind you in shepherding Trinity House, where you brought alluring finesse to the study and practicalisation of God’s word.  ‘’

Obaseki ended his emotion invoking message with ‘’We send our deepest condolences to the Ighodalo and Olaleye Ajayi families and Trinity House, in the wake of this devastating news.

May God rest her beautiful soul and grant you and the entire family, friends and relatives the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.’’
