Societynow.ng gathered that the narrative gaining ground within the party is that Demola’s elder brother Deji Adeleke “struck the deal with Secondus”.

Adeleke was declared the winner with less than 10 votes more than Ogunbiyi’s.

Checks by societynow.ng revealed Adeleke was the least favoured by the state leaders of the party to become PDP candidate.

The Senator is believed to carry a baggage of scandals that would blow off whatever chances the party has of securing power.

“This is including the tag unserious politician enhanced by his public dancing of no border of decorum” a source disclosed.

The Senator is currently battling allegation of lacking educational qualification to retain position as Senator or aspire to become Governor.

Sources disclosed despite the Senator’s troubles, the party chairman has gone as far as orchestrating rejection of appeals by aggrieved aspirants in the Osun gubernatorial primaries.

The development has forced the seven gubernatorial hopefuls to join forces and make a public move against the party’s candidate and his “shadowy” backers at the National level of the PDP.

Sources disclosed the major problem for Secondus is that the development greatly taking away points from his clout and integrity as general election rolls in.

“You know he faced intense opposition to emerge party chairman? This development is giving his opponents within the party the ammunition to bury him sooner than expected. The plan to take away his powers and reduce him to a figurehead has been activated” a source stated.
