Traditional Council Members, Others Ordered To Keep Sealed Lips On Burial Details Of Akarigbo Michael Sonariwo Over Public Gaffe On ”£8000” Needed To Bring Back Monarch’s Remains
Members of the Remo Traditional Council and other stakeholders have been ordered to keep off the media regarding burial details of prominent monarch, Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Michael Sonariwo.
This directive is confirmed to be the fallout of what has been tagged a gaffe in mould of public disclosure of £8000 needed to bring back the remains of the monarch from the U.K along with assertions letter written to the state government to raise the needed fund.
Sources confirmed the revelation attributed to a respected member of the council sparked off an internal row. ”Other members described it an embarrassment for such a pronouncement to be made publicly and attributed to the council.
..they claim saying the council waiting for the governor to bail them out before raising the needed £8000 portrays the esteem gathering in bad light” a source divulged
Societynowng.com’s digs revealed the furore over the public disclosures was such that the member responsible recant.
Societynowng.com learnt the decision was then taken that all members and other stakeholders keep sealed lips over the burial details of the prominent traditional ruler – until a consensus of opinion is reached on information to be disseminated.
The hugely respected monarch whose integrity is being fiercely protected even in death joined his ancestors on Saturday July 23 2016 while on a medical trip abroad.
Preparations to bring back his remains- in face of a public gaffe of ongoing efforts to raise fund – just spiralled into directive by the traditional council that all members and stakeholders keep off the media, until further notice.
