Today, I received depressing news about the passage of HRM, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran, the Owa Obokun of Ijeshaland who joined his ancestors. Expectedly, this is a shock to me, especially because as the Asoju Oba of Ijeshaland, we got closer enough to know that Nigeria and Yoruba land will miss a lot with this painful passage at this time. The country has lost a refined personality who is also a custodian of our history and culture with his 40 years on the throne .
My sincere condolences to Governor Ademola Adeleke, the good people of Osun State; members of Kabiyesi’s family and the whole of Ijeshaland.
