Those in the know insist they are both major players in the banking world.

Adaora Umeoji-Nwokoye and the Nnkea Onyeali-Ikpe.

Onyeali-Ikpe is the Chief Executive Officer at Fidelity Bank while Umeoji – Nwokoye (better known simply as Umeoji) is Zenith Bank’s Deputy Managing Director.

She has been touted as the perfect candidate to be the first female managing director of Zenith Bank for a while.

Adaora Umeoji – Nwokoye

With over 20years of key banking experience, Umeoji has been on the board of Zenith Bank since 2012 and was named Deputy Managing Director in 2016.

Onyeali-Ikpe also with over 20years of banking experience joined Enterprise Bank as an Executive Director in 2011 before she moved to Fidelity Bank in 2015 as an Executive Director. She was named Managing Director of Fidelity Bank in December 2020.

Interestingly Onyeali-Ikpe worked at Zenith Bank which served as the first common ground for the two women of influence in banking.

SocietyNow.Ng’s further digs revealed that they both studied law. Onyeali-Ikpe studied law as a first degree at the University of Nigeria while Umeoji recently did her’s at Baze University.

Added information has it that both women are from Anambra state.

While Onyeal-Ikpe has a master’s degree in Law from King’s College London, Umeoji possesses an MBA from the University of Calabar and a Doctorate degree in Business Administration from Apollos University, Great Falls, Montana, USA.

They are both said to be neck-deep in empowerment programs aimed at developing Anambra state on different fronts.
