Multiple checks revealed that Adaora Umeoji, the Deputy Managing Director of Zenith Bank remains one of the highly-rated bankers around.

Umeoji – marital name Nwokoye – built her reputation on fantastic returns as Zenith Bank’s Executive Director in charge of Public Sector, Abuja, North, Middle Belt, and South-East Zones.

Information at hand revealed that the expertise she deployed in helping to situate Zenith Bank as a major player in her spheres of operation enabled her to cultivate massive influence and contacts in and beyond her sphere of operations, especially in the nation’s seat of power – Abuja.

The very fashionable soul with over 20years of key banking experience has been on the board of Zenith Bank since 2012 and was named Deputy Managing Director in 2016.

Societynow.ng gathered that Umeoji brought so much to bear since 2021 that in 2019 many within and outside Zenith Bank touted the master degree holder in Business Administration from the University of Calabar as the new Managing Director before Ebenezer Onyeagwu was named.

A member of many professional bodies including the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Nigeria (ICPAN), and Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Umeoji is from Aguata in Anambra state.

Named a Knight of St Sylvester by his Holiness, Pope Francis for her “outstanding services to God and Humanity”, many believe Umeoji – based on her increasing contribution to the growth of Zenith Bank – will sooner than later be appointed the first female Managing Director of the leading financial institution.
