Stealthily, new governor Dapo Abiodun is quietly magnifying the shortcomings of his predecessor, Ibikunle Amosun.

Abiodun who faced fierce opposition from Amosun – and still does – before he became Governor has refused to spotlight the rot he met when he took over the reins of power.

Insiders revealed that this is in the face of intense pressure to ‘’shred’’ Amosun’s image with reports of damning discoveries.

Rather societynow.ng gathered that Abiodun has focused on going about the ways to deliver on his electoral promises.

Insiders disclosed that in the face of deep consultations and ‘’light projects’’ here and there, the people on the streets have taken it upon selves to complain about the actions and inactions of former governor Amosun.

‘’Even in Abeokuta where he concentrated developments the people have started complaining about the things Amosun failed to do and the quality of some the things he did, especially roads’’ societynow.ng learned.

Societynow.ng gathered the complains have taken a life of their own across the state especially because Abiodun has refused to cast aspersions but rather operates in a manner that leaves room for obvious comparison.

‘’Though you can’t take away the fact that some of the complaints are borne out of the need to get the attention of the new administration, the fact that Abiodun has chosen to work and not talk about Amosun indirectly fuels the talks…the people are now doing the talking’’ a source pointed out.

Societynow.ng learned the anti-Amosun’s talks are especially strong in Abeokuta South – one of the governor’s strongholds – where he suffered huge electoral loss despite the ‘’ projects” he concentrated there.
