Re-election seeking governor of Lagos state Akinwunmi Ambode is in dire need of public sympathy.

Ambode faces intense rejection by leaders of his party, All Progressives Congress in the bid to get a second term.

And his managers believe he needs a public show of support to prove he still has electoral value.

“so a plot to get support as a victim of political high handedness by leaders of his party was conceived” societynow.ng learned.

Insiders disclosed the first phase of the plan was the leaked impeachment plot.

The second would see a wave of protest by “civil liberty organizations” drumming up support for Ambode and agitating against moves to make him a victim of “imposition” of a candidate.

And this is in addition to the challenge of ubiquitous increasing mountains of refuse dumps that are taking major points from Ambode’s administration.

These developments – cresting on the wave of rejection by the party leaders – are speedily turning public opinion against Ambode.

“And the alleged impeachment plot is meant to reverse the trend by portraying him as the victim of a grand political plot” a source disclosed.

Further revelation made available to societynow.ng at the time the plot was said to be on and about to be hatched, the Lagos State House of Assembly was on recess.
