Talks here and there in the political circles of Ogun state has placed the position of Senator lanre Tejuosho on shaky grounds.

This development is attributed to claims incumbent governor of Ogun state, Ibikunle Amosun is considering where next to berth- after the expiration of his tenure.

The Governor who is firmly incharge of his party’s structure (All Progressives Congress) and perecived to be in control of the politics of the state is not eligible for re election after expiration of his second term. He is said to be considering moving to the Senate, like most ex governors.

Senator Tejuosho is a first term Senator and is said to be eyeing re election.

However the sitting Senator was a former commissioner in the cabinet of Governor Amosun before he contested and won election to become Senator on the strength of the statehelms man’s political structure.

Those close to the governor however label the talks ”just what they are- talks”.

They claim the governor is too focused on achieving set goals before the end of his second tenure to bother with thoughts of becoming ”a senator”.
