Sunday Igboho, The New “Adedibu” Wants To Become Next Governor Of Oyo State!

There is an ongoing buzz in Oyo state.

And it is all about the ambition of the powerful street character known as Sunday Igboho.

Igboho is the new Lamidi Adedibu in Oyo state.

And has declared the intention to become the next Governor of Oyo state to friends and fans.

The “declaration” was made during a recorded chat with his loyalists.

“Though he mentioned his ambition in passing in the course of a discussion, people are taking it very seriously” a source told societynow.

Societynow gathered that political players who rely on Igboho to provide “muscle” during elections have become wary of the growing talks about his “gubernatorial ambition”.

“Certainly, nobody wants another player as powerful as the late Lamidi Adedibu on the scene again and certainly not in government” an insider stated emphatically.

Lamidi Adedibu was the unlettered political muscle who transformed decision maker of Oyo state.

He was the alternate government.

He installed Governors, lawmakers – both federal and state –, council chairmen and generally determined who became what in and out of the political circle of Oyo state.

At a point, he had the ears of a sitting president and unseated a Governor over sharing of “security vote”!.

He was the dread of all. And he was who everybody turned to, to become somebody.

He was law unto himself and reigned till he breathed his last.

Though not yet as popular as Adedibu outside Oyo state, Igboho’s name has started resonating here and there, by providing the same “services” that transformed Adedibu “law unto self”.

“And judging from what is filtering out Igboho doesn’t want to wait as long as Adedibu to become as powerful!’’ a source stated.
