Speaker Obasa’s Senatorial Ambition Gains Ground Despite Crisis In Lagos Assembly

Away from the crisis rocking the Lagos State House of Assembly, sources disclosed to societynow.ng that the Senatorial ambition of the Speaker Mudashiru Obasa appears very much on course.

‘’That is judging from what is happening in his base in Agege and its environs’’ a source asserted.

Insiders disclosed that rather than shrink the numbers of the members of the Speaker’s Obasa Movement have increased in recent times.

Obasa Movement is the campaign group that is spearheading Senatorial Ambition of the Speaker.

‘’As things stand, the meetings of Obasa Movement are more frequent and have more members in attendance than that of the All Progressives Congress in Agege’’ a source asserted.

‘’It appears the crisis which is allegedly threatening his seat only boosted rather than dwindle his popularity in his base because Obasa Movement has sort of dwarfed or replaced APC in the Speaker’s base’’ societynow.ng learned.

Obasa is neck-deep in ”a poorly shrouded” campaign to take-over the Senatorial seat of Senator Olamilekan Adeola – popularly known as Yayi – representing Lagos West and the support he is amassing with an intense grassroots drive is said to be ‘’intimidating’’
