Sign Of Things To Come!… The Raging Talks As Dapo Abiodun Travels Out Ahead Today’s Ruling In Guber Dispute With Akinlade

The petition tribunal in Ogun state rules on the gubernatorial dispute between Governor Dapo Abiodun and Adekunle Akinlade today.

Societynow.ng’s checks revealed that this is one the most anticipated verdict – in the state – in recent time.

Checks, however, revealed that despite the great expectation- surrounding the judgment- governor Abiodun has traveled out of the country barely twenty (24) hours to tribunal’s verdict.

Akinlade remains on the ground to mobilize his people to the venue(Isabo,Abeokuta).

Dapo Abiodun traveled with President Muhammadu Buhari to attend the one-day Economic Community of West African States Heads of state and Government Extraordinary Summit on Counter-Terrorism in Ougadougou, Burkina Faso.

Checks by societynow.ng revealed that supporters and members of Abiodun’s political party (All Progressives Congress) and those of Akinlade (Allied People’s Movement) claim this development is a sign of things to come later today – with different narratives.

Abiodun people claim the travel is signal that the governor as found favor in the eyes of President Buhari and that he does not need to lose sleep over the tribunal’s verdict.

‘’It means we are sure of victory and the governor can afford to focus on other things’’ they claim.

Societynow.ng gathered that confidence of Abiodun’s people is particularly bolstered with the fact the APC enjoyed favorable verdicts in the tribunal’s rulings on Ogun state house of Assembly electoral disputes made yesterday (Friday, September 13, 2019).

But the Akinlade’s camp claims otherwise.

‘’Our victory is very sure. Dapo Abiodun was put on the President’s entourage to Burkina Faso for peace to reign when the ruling is made’’ they claim.

They claim the move to take Abiodun out of the ‘’equation today’’ is the handiwork of former governor Ibikunle Amosun, the power behind Akinlade’s gubernatorial ambition.

‘’Amosun arranged it, he knows the governor can not turn down the invitation of the president to travel with him anywhere’’ is the theme of the claims by APM loyalists.

Amosun – Senator representing Ogun Central – is extremely close to President Buhari and has already inflicted major political wounds on Abiodun by getting Ogun state’s slot of federal appointments announced so far his supporters.

Societynow.ng gathered that Abiodun’s absence as the Tribunal prepares to pronounce its ruling today has greatly buoyed the bragging rights of Akinlade supporters as they provide interpretations of different colors that give them victory all over town.
