Shocked Ali Ndume learnt of his removal as Senate Majority leader just like every other person.

Senate President Bukola Saraki made the disclosure in a letter he claimed was sent to him by the All Progressives Congress members in the Senate.

Mr Ndume expressed shocked over the development – he didn’t see it coming.

Or rather he should have, Ndume publicly moved against the rejection of Ibrahim Magu as Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Chairman by the Senate declaring it not part of the Agenda when it was announced.
Some believed the act seen as a ‘’rebellion’’ has a thing or two to do with his shocked removal.

Magu and Ndume are both from Borno state.

Senator Ahmed Lawan as being penned as replacement Majority leader.

No official reason was given for ouster of Ndume.
