Senator Daniel Continues To Keep Gov Abiodun’s Wife Out Of Fight With Her Husband

Senator representing Ogun East, Gbenga Daniel has continued to keep Bamidele, the wife of Governor Dapo Abiodun out of his raging quarrel with her husband.

of the children of former Senator Tolu Odebiyi and business woman, Bola Shagaya over the weekend.
Like he usually does since his supremacy battle with Governor Abiodun broke-out and spiralled out of hand, Senator Daniel made it a point of duty to exchange warm courtesies with Bamidele, the governor’s wife.

Senator Daniel’s wife, Olufunke whose multi-storey plaza was partially demolished by the Ogun state government over claims of enviromental infraction amid the raging feud between her husband and the governor, also exchanged hearty greetings and embrace with the Governor’ Abiodun’s wife – like she normally does before the destruction of her high value property.
Pictures of the separate encounters the Daniels had with the governor’s wife were shared by the senator’s handlers as part of the show of happenings at the prominent ceremony that had in attendance Vice President Kashim Shettima, Lottery and Casino king – Kessington Adebutu, former Govenor Ibikunle Amosun and his wife – Olufunto, Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, Senators Tokunbo Abiru and Olamilekan Adeola.
Before things went south between them, Daniel was a major player in the coalition of political forces that helped Abiodun secured his first term as governor in 2019.
Alleged actions – and in actions – on both sides, after abiodun was sworn-in, reportedly threw them apart and resulted in strong oppositon from Abiodun against Daniel, a former two-term governor of ogun state, becoming Senator.
Daniel outwitted the opposition and went on to be elected Senator in 2023 with an historic electoral win – with Abiodun adopting a reconciliatory approach at the last minute.
,However, the allegations that Senator Daniel was a part of the machinations that resulted in Abiodun’s near loss in his re-election bid ( the governor secured a second term by less than a margin of 14 votes) “furnanced” their political fight out of proportion
