Sanusi, Lekan Mustapha, Muyiwa Oladipo Others In APC Campaign Council For Remo Rep By-Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has inaugurated its Campaign Council and Committee for the August 16 by-election into the House of Representatives seat for Remo Federal Constituency in Ogun state.

The by-election follows the death of Adewunmi Onanuga, who represented the constituency comprising Ikenne, Remo North, and Sagamu local government areas.

The inauguration ceremony was held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Akarigbo Palace in Sagamu, with Governor Dapo Abiodun urging party stakeholders to work in unison to deliver victory for the party’s candidate, Adesola Elegbeji.

Leading the campaign council is Chief Yemi Sanusi, who was named chairman. He is supported by Senator Lekan Mustapha as vice chairman and Yemi Adelani as director-general. Others on the advisory council include Ola Oresanya (deputy DG), Tunji Egbetokun, Femi Ogunbanwo, Adegbesan Joseph, Apostle Biodun Sanyaolu, Chief Derin Adebiyi, Chief Pegba Otemolu, Dapo Okubadejo, Ade Akinsanya, and Funmi Efuwape.

Also on the council are Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi, Bolu Owotomo, Chief Jide Ojuko, Biyi Adeleye, Wole Sowole, Sikirulah Ogundele, Akinlade Abubakar, Evan Joshua Ifede, Hon. Koye Ijaduoye, Babatunde Diya, Folusho Badejo, Oluwadare Kehinde, Shina Ogunsola, Lanre Oyegbola, and Wasiu Lawal.

The campaign committee has as members Abdul Bashir, Alhaji Shamsideen Apelogun, Toyin Jekami, Arole Azeez Bello, Nurudeen Adewale, Oyeleke Oluwole, Gbenga Banwo, former Ogun Assembly Speaker Muyiwa Oladipo, Chief Laide Okunola, Mrs. Yetunde Akinluyi, Alhaji Alowonle Nurudeen, Abeeb Ajetunmobi, Ayodele Adepeju, Modinat Lawal, Azeez Ismaila, Oyedele Oluwole, and Alaba Lawal.

Other notable members include Femi Akinwunmi, Alhaji Olayinka Banjo, Sakiru Folarin, Barrister Adeleke Solarin, Kayode Segun-Okeowo, Abdul Oladimeji Ikutaati, Tola Olutayo, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, Olayinka Odufuwa, Mojeed Soyombo, Femi Ogundalu, Ademola Adeniran, Tade Kashimowo, Kola Onalaja, and Jamiu Ashimi.

Efuwape Olaitan, Wale Oyekoya, Olakunle Sobukola, Yeye Yetunde Lawal, Segun Ogunleye, Isiaka Ojuroye, Kola Odusanya, Erinfolami Rotimi, Bilikisu Oseni, Dr. Ibidapo Odukoya, Lolade Okulowo, Yemisi Dawodu, Olabisi Adesina, Sodade Olumuyiwa, Barrister Akeem Asiru, Taiwo Jokosimi, and Sobambo Ladejobi are also on the team.

The campaign structure also includes Femi Onajoko, Lanre Daramola, Olumide Soyami, Joseph Kolapo Osobuke, Tope Sotikare, Moji Oyefeso, Yusuf Soyemi, Ladi Odujirin, Yemi Sobambo, Sorinola Rasheed, Motunrayo Olawore, Tayo Sowole, Moremi Soyinka, Adenowo Emmanuel, Rukayat Sonubi, Ramoni Sonuga, Alhaja Fausat Adeyiga, Olalekan Akinola, and Mrs. Sherifat Asetoye.

The party says it is determined to retain the seat and continue what it described as the “progressive representation” of the Remo Federal Constituency.
