Emerging details have it that Minister Nyesom Wike and Governor Siminalayi Fubara are inching toward a settlement in their raging political crisis.

The crisis saw Fubara fight off the threat of impeachment and in return sacked all known loyalists of Wike encircling him – including the Local Government Chairmen.

Wike, the immediate past Governor of Rivers State against all odds single-handedly installed Fubara as his successor.

Whispers of conflict of interests started flouting barely two months after Fubara was sworn-in.

The whispers transformed reality in the last 48hours with Fubara openly declaring he is ready for whatever happens.

Insiders, however, disclosed that Wike has retreated and opted for a reconciliation. And Fubara has agreed to tow the same path.

“So, they inching towards a settlement of sort regarding the issues at stake” according to those in the know.
