“Return By Friday Night & We Will Forgive You” Obaseki Tells Runaway Prisoners

Godwin Obaseki, the governor of Edo State has offered prisoners who escaped in the attack on prisons by hoodlums masquerading as #EndSars protesters “forgiveness of the offence of jailbreak” if they willingly.

The Governor gave the night of Friday, October 23, 2020, as the deadline for the voluntary return of the escaped prisoners.

Obaseki declared that the failure of the prisoners to return on their own would result in bringing the full weight of the law on them.

“We have their dossiers, we have their addresses and their biometric numbers we will get them” Obaseki asserted while on inspection of the damage done to some of the custodial facilities attacked by the hoodlums who hijacked the peaceful protest.
