Real Reason Osoba’s Son Olumide Failed To Get APC Reps Ticket

Olumide Osoba failed in his bid to get the Federal House of Representatives Ticket he so much desired.

The son of former Governor Olusegun Osoba lost the All Progressives Congress ticket to Mikael Kazeem, a fierce support of Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

Olumide was initially listed as the consensus candidate for Abeokuta North/ Obafemi Owode federal constituency by Governor Amosun.Gov Ibikunle Amosun

The younger Osoba kicked against the move that would have endorsed the actions of the man that decimated the political power and influence of his father far and wide.

“But that wasn’t the reason Olumide failed to get the reps ticket” societynow.ng learned.

Insiders disclosed the real reason has to do with his father’s support to Dapo Abiodun.

Aremo Osoba is one of the major players that helped Abiodun secured the Ogun state gubernatorial ticket against the wishes of Governor Amosun.

And in a fierce fight back, the governor won all the Senate, Reps and state house of Assembly seats for his ardent loyalists.

The Governor got the Senatorial ticket for Ogun Central.

Sources confirm the governor is still working had to upstage Abiodun as party gubernatorial candidate in Ogun state and replace him with own preferred choice Adekunle Akinlade.

This is said to be against the background of underground moves by some stakeholders within the party to force a truce by coming up with a consensus candidate acceptable to the warring parties.
