Quilox Still Sealed Up As Detained Lawmaker Shina Peller Secured Secures Freedom

Detained federal lawmaker Shina Peller has been released.

Peller, a House of Representatives member from Oyo State was arrested by the police in the early hours of yesterday.

He was accused of invading police station – Maroko – with over 50 thugs in the bid to secure the release of some patrons of his night club – Quilox – arrested for obstruction of traffic.

The police alleged the federal lawmaker stormed the police station to forcefully release the arrested Quilox patrons and their seized cars.

The police repelled the invasion, arrested Peller and some of his thugs and claimed them into detention.

Quilox night club was shut down for environment and noise pollution over staging the event that resulted in the heavy traffic gave motorist nightmares.

Societynow.ng learned Peller was admitted to administrative bail after the intervention by his colleagues in the national assembly and other highly placed individuals, but Quilox remains shut down at press time.
