Senate President Bukola Saraki has publicly declared his ambition to become the next President of Nigeria.

“This naturally throws up his Kwara Central senatorial seat for grab” a source stated pointedly.

Societynow.ng gathered amongst those interested in the senatorial seat is Gbemi, the younger sister to Senate President Bukola Saraki.

Interestingly Gbemi was the immediate past occupier of the Kwara Central senatorial seat.

Gbemi left the seat in a futile move to succeed her brother as Governor of Kwara state.

Bukola Saraki was governor of Kwara state before he moved to the Senate.

Gbemi, who remains in the ruling All Progressives Congress, after the Senate President’s defection to the opposition People’s Democratic Party has now shown a seriousness of purpose in returning to the Senate.

Societynow.ng learned that posters declaring Gbemi’s intention to return to the Senate now flood Kwara state.

“Especially within the Kwara Central Senatorial district” a source disclosed to societynow.ng.

Societynow.ng gathered that her handlers are deploying the posters labelled “very colourful” to every nooks and cranny of the targeted zones.

“And the awareness is huge” societynow.ng learned.

What is however yet to be confirmed is how well this awareness will translate into votes for Gbemi in her Senatorial ambition.
