Popular musician Sefiu Alao is in deep trouble.

And this development is attributed to the musician’s role in the disgrace meted out to President Muhammadu Buhari and other leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun state.

President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, National Chairman Adams Oshiomole, National leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and a host of other party leaders – including state governors – were stoned at the All Progressives Congress presidential rally held in Ogun state on Monday, February 11, 2019

Sefio is said to have helped put in place the background for the disgraceful episode that saw loyalists of Governor Ibikunle Amosun perpetrate the shameful action that has attracted widespread condemnation far and near.

‘’Sefiu was contracted as one of the performers at the event. Before the arrival of President Buhari, he belted out inciting lyrics that nudged the supporters of Amosun to violence ‘’ a source claim.

Societynow.ng confirmed it was his lyrics ‘’eyin ti Triple-A da, eje ka ri owo yin ooo’’ (Akinlade supporters where are you, make yourselves visible) that threw the Allied Movement Supporters into an orgy of violence against All Progressives Congress members and forced the APC loyalists present to scamper out of the MKO Abiola Stadium with different degrees of injuries.

Triple-A (Adekunle Abdulkadir Akinlade) the preferred successor by Governor Ibikunle Amosun is contesting to become the next Governor of Ogun state on the platform of the Allied People’s Movement.

Amosun has deployed personal and state resources to support the Akinlade’s gubernatorial ambition against that of his political party’s gubernatorial candidate Dapo Abiodun.

Societynow.ng gathered that the backing by Amosun was what emboldened Akinlade’s supporters to attack APC members and ended up with the disgraceful action of throwing objects at the President.

‘’APC members are currently threatening fire and brimstones against Sefiu Alao for his inciting lyrics and the consequence of injuries to their party men. They are campaigning for party men to blacklist him in private engagements and the party not to have anything to do with him if Abiodun emerges the next governor of Ogun state’’ societynow.ng learned.

The popular Fuji musician based in Ogun state performed at the ill-fated presidential campaign on the bill of those loyal to the agenda of Governor Amosun to make Akinlade next governor of Ogun state.
