Governor Umaru Bago of Niger State, 50, has once again changed his look.

His current appearance is a slight alteration to the previous one. The beard of the “farmer governor” is now better trimmed and well-groomed, making him look his finest in recent times.

The former banker, who had notable stints at United Bank for Africa (UBA) and rose to the managerial level at First City Monument Bank (FCMB) before venturing into politics, began showcasing his refined new look over the weekend.

This updated appearance of the former House of Representatives member, who came second in the race that produced Femi Gbajabiamila as Speaker of the 360-member strong Federal House of Representatives, now features a clean scalp.

The new look is just the latest version in a series of style revisions since he began sporting a beard,

making many forget there was a time when the governor — now at the forefront of making Niger State the face of Nigeria’s agricultural revolution — was completely clean-shaven.

Beyond his evolving looks, Governor Bago has been instrumental in driving key agricultural reforms in Niger State. His administration has prioritized modernizing farming techniques, improving infrastructure, and attracting investments to boost food production.
