Senator Gbenga Daniel retains a very good rapport with Bamidele, the wife of Ogun state Governor, Dapo Abiodun.

The Senator representing Ogun East continues cordial social interaction with Abiodun’s wife amid a raging political fight with the Governor.

The latest pointer to this was the happening at the 60th birthday celebration of Yemisi Edun, the Chief Executive Officer of First City Monument Bank (FCMB).

The Senator and the Governor’s wife were guests at the event and enjoyed what is described as good interaction. And even took pictures together,

Daniel’s handlers posted the picture with Bamidele Abiodun on his social media page – a gesture accorded only family, friends, and loyalists.

Checks revealed that since the political fight between Daniel and Abiodun erupted in the Open, the Senator has continued to accord the Governor’s wife the courtesies of her status anytime they meet at public events. And she the honor of a former two-term Governor of Ogun state – who also helped her husband win his first term election – in return.

But Senator Daniel and Governor Abiodun remain at loggerheads and on different divides, especially with the race to determine who controls the state in the next political dispensation gaining momentum.

It has also not helped the situation that Abiodun partly demolished a high-value property owned by Senator Daniel’s wife Olufunke over allegations that have become a legal dispute.

Daniel and Abiodun are members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
