Segun Adewale, the People’s Democratic Party’s senatorial candidate for Lagos West popularly known as Aeroland has threatened court action against main opponent Solomon Adeola of the All Progressives Congress widely address as Yayi.

The issue at stake is allegation of cultism and armed robbery preferred against Aeroland by Yayi.

dismissed allegation that he was a cultist in school or an armed robber.

Adewale in an interview in Lagos was reacting to a statement credited to the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Lagos West Senatorial District, Honourable Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, accusing him of cultism and armed robbery.

Adewale stated that although he would not want to join issues with Adeola, allegations of cultism and armed robbery are very wieghty thus deserving his reactions.

According to him, he attended the Universtiy of Ibadan for his first degree and Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo for his second degree and his records in both institutions are verifiable.

“These are reputable institutions in Nigeria, anybody can go their and verify my records. I have unblemished record in both institutions,” he said.

Adewale, popularly called Aeroland, siad that his opponent has to prove the allegations he publicly raised against him or he will seek legal redress. “I have put my lawters on alert and if he does not prove these allegations, then we will legal redress,” he said.

According to him, while in the university, he has a group of students he relate and always interact with. “They believe in my ideology and they love and respect me a lot. This is what he called bring a cultist. The records are there at the University of Ibadan, anybody can go and verify my records,” he said.

According to him, APC and Adeola are creating a demon out of him because they are afraid of his growing popularity and the fact that he is set to defeat Adeola at the general elections.
