The demolition exercise was carried out by the Gombe State Urban Planning and Development Authority (GOSUPDA).

According to Group Captain Peter Bitrus Bilal (Retd, the Special Adviser to the Gombe state governor on Development Control and Enforcement the demolition was carried out because of the location of the campaign office.
