Panic As Ambode Moves To Take Back Lagos Properties “Illegally” Sold!

There is a growing panic.

And the reason is simple…the government of Governor Akinwunmi Amode is prepared to take back properties of Lagos state ”illegally” sold.

The properties were reportedly sold far below their value.

And are situated in prime areas of the state.

The Lagos Government is said to have set up a committee to look into the sales and the report is ready and about to be acted on.

Details available have it that the properties in question are more than a hundred and the value runs into billions of naira,

And the buyers in most cases well-known players in the economic and political circles of the state.

The report submitted by the committee reported set up in 2016 is said to contain the names of buyers and location of properties.

For clarity of purpose, the value of each property at the time of purchase and the amount paid was equally stated.

Information available has most of the affected properties were located in Ikeja GRA, Magodo, Ikoyi and Lekki.

Though talks of possible seizure decorate the move, those who should know disclose the government is looking at giving the ‘’buyers’’ the first option of making up for the shortfalls in value – before taking any drastic action.

Insiders were emphatic the affected government properties were sold before Governor Ambode came to power.
